Quality Type for and by Professionals

¶ Almost 35 years ago, the Dutch Type Library started supplying high-quality digital fonts for the top of the type market. dtl is renowned for its exclusive and exquisite typefaces, which are used worldwide for delicate and refined typography and sophisticated branding. ¶ The typefaces of the Dutch Type Library are optimized for print and web applications.

¶ The texts on this website are typeset in web-optimized versions of dtl Argo and dtl Antares. ¶ The perfectly crafted dtl typefaces appear as harmonically and rhythmically on screen as in print. ¶ The dtl webfonts enable typographic refinements on the internet, such as applying old-style figures and small caps. ¶ More information on dtl webfonts.

dtl Font Tools
¶ Since the late 1990s, the Dutch Type Library has been developing tools for professional font production. In 2001 the dtl FontMaster (fm) suite was released after years of preparations. It was the first font editor on the market that automated the subsetting of OpenType Layout features. ¶ dtl FoundryMaster (fm2) is the new advanced successor for macOS, Windows, and Linux of the fm suite. The current flagship of the dtl font tools is without any doubt OTMaster (otm), a highly sophisticated application for editing and modifying OpenType and TrueType fonts. ¶ More information
